BilMedia

This is the project web page of BilMedia, Bilkent Media Tracking System. BilMedia is the senior project of our group. This project aims to obtain a generic system which filters and extracts related information from Web pages about a given institution (a company, university, politician, etc.). The research component involves adapting/implementing information extraction techniques. As a prototype, we will implement a system which gets RSS feeds from various news sites, filters news about Bilkent, and extracts information (who, where, what). Users will be able to display and query this information through a sophisticated Web GUI (e.g.., show all news about Bilkent CS department, faculty members awarded this year, etc.).
